Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Sanpete County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message may be retained so we can answer it. We do not disclose the message beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers may receive technical and usage information when a page loads, including:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- Dates and times associated with page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. We and analytics services may use them to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and navigation patterns. A browser can block cookies, though some site functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected data may be used for the following operational purposes:
- Operating, maintaining, and improving site performance
- Sending a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Sanpete County Court Docket does not host, sell, compile, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes reference material about Utah Courts Xchange, MyCase, court clerks, calendars, and record-request channels serving Sanpete County. Visitor data is not assembled into third-party case files or consumer reports. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on content pages. Information entered there is handled under the provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices, not solely under this policy. We do not direct those practices. Review the provider's terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Utah court pages, clerk resources, statewide systems, legal-aid organizations, or commercial services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before giving that site personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or select advertisements. We do not control that outside tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search providers processing a query
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks delivering advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities responding to a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used security measures are applied to information under our control. No internet service can promise absolute protection. We cannot guarantee that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary with the visitor's residence and applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. A person may be able to request access to personal data we hold, ask that inaccurate data be corrected, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Utah court-record access is separately governed by UCJA Rules 4-202.02 through 4-202.08. Sanpete County administrative records use Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act, or GRAMA. Neither system gives this private site custody of official court files.
- Ask what personal information we retain
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of processing where a legal right applies
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy. A revised version becomes available here with its new effective date. Visitors should review the current text when they want to know how information is handled.
